Ken Plangwath Ake-sinsab
“Ken” Plangwath Ake-sinsab joined FiberXL in 2024 as the CEO. He is the co-founder of Touch IT Technologies, an ISP in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area focused on multi-unit buildings. He has worked as a consultant to provide turnkey IT solutions for the private and public sector. His solutions have covered Digital Signage, Security Solutions, GIS, Data Mining and Datacenter Technologies. He holds a Degree in Law from the University of Thai Chamber of Commerce. He has been involved in FTTX (Fiber to the x) deployments to major metropolitan areas in Thailand.
Richard Cross
Richard Cross is the co-founder of FiberXL, a software development and internet service provider company in Chicago. FiberXL has provided internet service in Chicago since 2011. At FiberXL, he has also worked as a data scientist and software architect for several technology projects including HealthCodex, a consumer health provider, Roadent, a location-based data analytics platform, HungryTickets, a sports ticket marketplace; and KarChing, an app for teen drivers. As CEO of Luxe Wisteria, Richard has been the general contractor in charge of over $1MM of renovation projects in Illinois, Michigan, and Missouri. The renovation projects have primarily involved home and small business renovation. He has managed all accounting and payroll functions for several small businesses such as Rich Ken Co, Luxe Wiseria, and FiberXL. He developed infrastructure for Bank of America’s Corporate Online Banking platform and managed an IT Operations team. While working in a DevOps position at HERE Technologies he helped launch the Open Location Platform that allowed customers with IoT applications to combine their data with HERE’s location services. He has worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at Truepill, an online pharmacy, where he was involved in several HIPAA compliance and security projects. He has built a web presence for AEP Energy Services, a consulting division of American Electric Power and then managed the spin-off of that division into a stand-alone, PE-backed company. Richard holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
William Murray
William Murray is the co-founder of FiberXL, where he has served as system and database administrator and managed IT operations. At FiberXL, he has been involved in starting FiberXL, an ISP for Chicago condominiums; HungryTickets, a sports ticket marketplace; and KarChing, an app for teen drivers. Previously, he worked at Analytic Innovations, LLC where he was a data scientist focused on the Discover Card Fee Products account. He extracted data from the Discover Card member database and applied all necessary eligibility selection criteria for multiple different telemarketing and direct mail programs. Before joining Analytics Innovations he worked as a postdoctoral data scientist at the ZEUS experiment, he applied selection criteria to databases of subatomic events in search of previously unseen physics. William holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Indiana University.
Earl Gero
Earl Gero is the head of software development at FiberXL, where he has coded and maintained multiple websites (many with associated mobile apps where he also served as a developer) for clients in several fields. These include FiberXL, an ISP for Chicago condominiums; HungryTickets, a sports ticket marketplace; and KarChing, an app for teen drivers. Previously, he worked as a data scientist at Analytic Innovations, LLC where he was primarily focused on the Discover Card Fee Products account. He extracted data from the Discover Card member database and applied all necessary eligibility selections criteria for multiple different telemarketing and direct mail programs. Before joining Analytics Innovations he worked as a research scientist at the Mark II experiment at the Stanford Linear Accelerator and data scientist at the KLOE experiment at the Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati in Italy, where he searched for new physics interactions. Earl holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Michigan.
